I found this while sorting through some old notes, it's from back in 2017, when I made the decision to live here in India.
Since I left Saudi, I've cocooned, and now I emerge as a brand new butterfly. Everything is falling into place perfectly, as it does. I think back....
'What are you waiting for?' asks Peter, 'I don't know', I smile. And for the first time in my life, not knowing, feels like absolute bliss.
Was it intuition that kept me in Bombay until the conditions were right for me to travel 'home' to Goa?
I hear the quote 'I am being guided by spirit every moment' in my mind and I thank all my teachers along the way. I try to understand the 'pull' I felt to get on the train, and then the next train, to tell the rickshaw driver to head to an unknown place, pulling and pulling until I ended up in a little fisherman's house, in a cozy corner of a beach unknown to me. Pulling and pulling towards a lady, and knowing instinctively to ask her about a house. She led me straight to the place, the owner greeted me with 'As-salamu alaykum' (may peace be upon you), the traditional Arabic greeting, it was only later that I wondered why, he was not a Muslim, and I was no longer wearing my Saudi dress of abaya, hijjab and niqab.
My little healing house, taking me back to my roots. I had arrived home.
