YOGA & AYURVEDA retreat

INNER WISDOM
Retreat

Dharamshala, India
2-8th October 2024

An evolutionary journey into your soul-self in the sacred, healing mountains of Himachal Pradesh

The Experience

This retreat happens at an incredibly auspicious time in the Hindu calendar, Navaratri - the 9 nights of the Goddess Durga, and our evolutionary journey will be rooted in embodying our inner wisdom through the tools gifted to us from ancient Vedic traditions of Yoga, Ayurveda & Tantra. You will be guided through a physical, mental & spiritual processes, so that you learn to align & attune with your innate soul-nature, face your fears & access your own hidden, unique gifts. We will have the blessing to visit one of the powerful Shakti Peeth in the area and receive blessings from the Mother Goddess herself during this special time.

Your specially curated morning Yoga Asana, Pranayama & Meditation practice will be followed by a delicious home-made breakfast in the al-fresco dining area in the heritage house.

After breakfast, you may attend an informative workshop, enjoy a hike around the surrounding mountains, meditate in the gardens, do some inner exploration, visit waterfalls, temples, and Buddhist Gompas or go shopping for beautiful Tibetan & Indian trinkets, and you can even take a holy dip in the waterfall if you're feeling brave.

You will also have opportunities to experience traditional & authentic Ayurvedic treatments such as a Hydrating & Rejuvenating Abhyanga Oil Massage, Invigorating & Detoxifying Udvartanum Powder Massage, Mind-Calming & Soothing Shirodhara Oil Treatment or other treatments.

The Location - Dharamshala

The sacred resting place

Dharamshala - the resting place, nestled in the foothills of the magnificent Duladhar Mountain range, you will find yourself immersed in a land of beauty & culture. The Hillstation of McLeodganj, also known as Little Lhasa because of the huge population of Tibetan's living in exhile, including His Holiness the Dalai Lama, is a delightful 15-20 minute walk from where we will stay. There you will find a harmonious blend of Tibetan Buddhist & Hindu culture. Here there are plenty of shops and restaurants for you to experience. With plenty of nature to explore, waterfalls, mountains, temples, monasteries & sacred hot springs you will experience the perfect recipe of spirituality & adventure.

She is committed to doing her bit in making the world a better place through all aspects  of her work. This is what living Yoga & Ayurveda is to her.

Laura has been a student of Yoga for around 20 years, completing 500 hours of formal Yoga Training 8 years ago. During that time the light of Ayurveda was switched on and she has been a committed student, practitioner & teacher of Yoga's sister, Ayurveda ever since.

She is looking forward to sharing the knowledge & tools to support you to access your own inner wisdom & discover your inner peace.

Where you will stay - Your Home from Home

I have chosen a gorgeous homestay & guest house that is very close to my heart, since this is where I stayed when my journey with Ayurveda began 8 years ago. Nestled in the foothills between Dharamkot Village and Bhagsu Nag Village, you will be surrounded by love & nature. The first time I stayed here with the Rehla family I felt immediately at home. The family are warm & welcoming, and I am sure you will feel as at home, everyone does! The spacious rooms have all you need for your stay, they are well appointed with comfy double bed, seating area & table, balcony or terrace, kettle, en-suite hot water bathroom, heater for those chilly mountain evenings (on request) & stunningly picturesque views.
