Weaving my way through Life

Updated: Jul 27, 2023

Embodying Ayurveda & Yoga is core to my being. Some of you may know about Mango Wisdom Family here in Goa, India. These children and young people give me the opportunity to give back, to learn, and to love.

As an Ayurvedic Practitioner & a Yoga Teacher, it's really important to me to reflect, but also to look at all aspects of my life & work holistically. So here's a bit about what I do...

I run retreats - as a CODA (child of deaf adults) - I offer all my services in sign language for my deaf followers. In October I will be leading a group of deaf people in the Himalayas for a life-changing Spiritual Adventure, in the place where I found deep healing & growth with my teacher Dr Arun Sharma.

Next month, there's a Ayurveda & Yoga Retreat here in Goa, it's a chance to relax, learn tools to be healthier, practice Yoga, eat delicious food (from our tiffin service - so supporting local people too). Is that speaking to you? There's places available if this is something you need in your life. Back to Nature, Ayurveda & Yoga Retreat, Goa Please note this retreat is not being taught in sign language.

I also work online teaching Yoga, doing Ayurvedic holistic health consultations, giving workshops and working individually with clients who want to find a healthier, happier, more connected way of living. You can book a FREE WELLNESS CHAT to find out more. Or have a look at the website to see the options.

It's always been really important to me to create sustainable opportunities for the people I work with here, it is all very well giving a handout, and it's great because hopefully someone gets to eat! However, I am into more long-term initiatives. Here in Goa, we run a tiffin food service, where our teacher Sujata and our young man, Ravi work together to cook delicious, nourishing home-cooked meals and deliver them to peoples door. This project covers so many objectives; high quality food, employment, understanding business, how to run a kitchen, being part of a team aka family, and so on.

We are underway with our permaculture roof garden, and our vision is to grow our veggies for our tiffins, we will also be offering tiffin according to your Ayurvedic body type (Prakriti). A work in progress but a strong vision for us all! And no better way to health than grounding through the earth, and nature.

Valuing Women, often women are unsupported and living in fear, unaware of their rights. I believe it is my Dharma to contribute to raising their value both internally and externally, I have some projects in the pipeline but right now we are focusing on Wisdom Wares, a second hand shop, which not only creates training and employment for women, opportunities for giving back and sustainable fashion but also supports other local initiatives and charities such as ARC (Animal Rescue Centre, Goa), and clean up projects as well as supporting disadvantaged people with accommodation & other basics needs while they get on their feet. In reality, we feel we are making money out of nothing!

I'm always looking for new opportunities to weave something else in and I am well supported by the universe in making things happen. Forever grateful.

Sending you all love & blessings

Laura xx
